Funeral services for Willie Vernon Bryant, 71of Garrison will be held Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Greely C.M.E. Church, Garrison Rev. Tommie L. Starks, Rev. Fremon Bryant, Rev. Hiwatha Graves and Rev. Carl Yarbrough officiating. Burial will follow in the New Liberty Cemetery, Garrison under the direction of Garmon Funeral Home of Henderson. Mr. Willie Vernon Bryant was born November 13, 1940 to Will and Dora Davis Bryant in the Caledonia community of Rusk County, Texas. Willie was the first born for his parents and he accepted Christ at an early age with Greely C.M.E. Church. He attended school in the Concord community and later pursued a career in the agriculture industry.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Dora Bryant; two brothers, Alvertis Bryant and Tommy Ray Bryant and a nephew, Barry Tutt.

Mr. Willie Vernon Bryant departed this life on Thursday, May 3, 2012 leaving to mourn his passing; four sisters, Mattie Bryant, Dora (Lessie) Copeland, Ollie (Tony Wayne) Griffith and Addie (Devon) Tutt all of Garrison, Texas; two brothers, Jessie Herman Bryant of Garrison, Texas and Alvin (Gloria) Bryant of Nacogdoches, Texas; many other nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Chris Johnson, Robert Lee Johnson, Tony Bryant, Kendrick Brooks and Angelo Bryant. Honorary pallbearers will be Herman Burns, Tony Griffith, Jr., DeWayne Tutt, Jarvis Bryant, Alvin Bryant, Jr. and Eric Bryant.
